Job Training in the Elections
The Workforce Alliance believes that public investments in the training of America's workforce should be part of any polictical candidate's plan for putting the U.S. economy -- or the economy of a particular state -- on a path toward future growth, shared prosperity and improved international competitiveness.
To that end, TWA has begun tracking how the issues of workforce training are figuring into the debates, press coverage and competing policy proposals offered by leading candidates in both national and state electoral races. TWA has also published polls and addressed the media on these issues, to confirm how strongly the voting public wants to hear from candidates about workforce investment as a part of larger economic policy debates.
